This is a beautifully presented book with a very serious theme. Using creative non-fiction and wonderful images it tells the stories of the artists, beekeepers, entomologists, ecologists, farmers and other advocates who are working to try and slow down and hopefully reverse the effects of habitat reduction, industrial agriculture, pesticide misuse and the many other issues contributing to the decline of world honey bee populations. Through the eight diverse and absorbing chapters, the book endeavours to understand the sources of, and look for solutions to the plight of the honey bee.
