Delton Martin's Ontario Maple Syrup, 330g - Coedcanlas
Artisan maple syrup. This single source maple syrup is absolutely pure, the only ingredient is the sap of the maple tree. Collected by hand and reduced over a traditional wood fire, nothing is added, the only thing removed is water.
The first runs of sap create a beautifully light syrup delicate, smooth and creamy. As the season progresses, the colour deepens to warm amber and, in some years, to a rich dark hue. With this change in colour comes a transformation in flavour:
- Early season: light, creamy, subtly sweet
- Mid-season: golden amber with caramel warmth
- Late season: darker, fuller-bodied, with notes of toffee and deep maple richness
