Place the bee hotel in a sunny, sheltered location with minimal exposure to the elements, ideally facing south/southeast. Fix to a flat surface e.g. a wall or fence. Ensure the bee hotel is placed 5 to 6 feet off the ground. The following Spring, clean out old nesting materials or replace the box after the eggs have hatched and the bees have left.
